Internet for your channels
- Turn on Internet Link for any LoRa channel from its menu. Your messages travel over LoRa and the internet at the same time and arrive as one message, never duplicates.
- Create Internet Channels with the + button. They work anywhere with no radio needed, and anyone with the same channel key joins the same room.
- Channels with Internet Link enabled keep working when your radio is disconnected.
Clearer delivery info
- Two delivery ticks: blue with a globe means delivered over the internet, green means your message was heard back over LoRa. Repeat counts still show next to them.
- Received messages show a globe when they arrived via the internet, and "LoRa 2 hops" when the radio copy lands too.
Maps in chat
- Shared locations now show a mini map right in the chat bubble. Tap it to open the full map view.
Fixes and polish
- Fixed chat history disappearing from MeshOS and AirLink chats when connecting a LoRa radio.
- Internet Messaging now stays connected when using a WiFi or Ethernet radio.
- Settings screens reorganised with clear section dividers.
- Cleaner chat input styling.

Internet Messaging (new) Chat over the internet, with no radio needed. Turn it on in Settings and join the MeshOS channel: a global room shared with MeshOS users and devices anywhere, over WiFi or mobile data. The channel shows a live green/red connection dot. Works alongside your LoRa radio, and when a node is connected you appear under its name.
The app is now completely free No licence, no activation, no restrictions. Every feature is unlocked for everyone, with any MeshCore radio. MeshOS device owners keep their "Activated" badge.
New setup experience A proper first-run flow: choose whether to set up a MeshCore radio or go straight to internet and phone-to-phone messaging. Setting up a new radio walks you through region settings and your username, then offers the MeshOS channel.
Send your location A pin button in every chat sends your current position to that channel or contact, in the same format T-Deck and M9 devices use, so it shows on everyone's map.
Redesigned message box Grows as you type, keeps the pin, emoji and voice buttons inside it, and sends on Enter with hardware keyboards (Shift+Enter for a new line).

MeshOS 1.6.0
🌐 Internet Messaging (new!) — a global "MeshOS" chat channel over WiFi. Turn it on in Settings → Internet Messaging and chat with MeshOS users anywhere, even with no LoRa mesh around you. Sent messages show a tick once the server relays them. (T-Deck & M9, WiFi required.)
⚡ Much faster, more reliable maps & browser — map tiles and CoreBrowser now load dramatically faster and no longer stall or stop working after heavy use. Big memory-stability fix under the hood; tiles now served from our own fast cache.
Improvements & fixes
- Fixed the T-Deck slowly running out of memory (maps/browser would eventually stop until a reboot).
- WiFi and Bluetooth now switch cleanly — turning one on turns the other off (they can't run together). Fixed: enabling Bluetooth then rebooting could leave it off if WiFi was on.
- New WiFi On/Off toggle right in WiFi settings.
- The map now prompts you to turn on WiFi when tiles need downloading.
- Added a live "largest free memory block" readout on the System screen.

Repeater & mesh control
- Configurable repeater — turn your radio into a repeater and choose what it relays: everything, selected regions, or nothing — with hop limits and loop detection, all from the app.
- Spam control — block noisy channels by
#hashtagor hash, view live per-channel mesh statistics to spot rogue channels, and toggle whether the public channel is repeated. - Stronger user blocking — blocked users are no longer repeated on channels you hold the key for, enforced on the device even while your phone is disconnected.
Firmware updates
- Wi-Fi (OTA) firmware updates straight from the app — no cable required (Wi-Fi-capable radios).
Chat & UI
- Clear All Messages from a channel's menu.
- Colourful map option (layers button on the map screen).
- Tidied sent-message popup — clearer LoRa vs AirLink repeat labels.
- Settings reorganised under a Repeater section.

Block users by name — now with wildcards
New Blocked Users screen (Settings → Messaging) — block an exact username, or use a wildcard pattern to catch several at once:
*matches any text ·?matches a single character- e.g.
*botspam**casino*
Great for spammers who append changing text (like a timestamp) to their name — one pattern such as
*meshcore*spammer*blocks every variant.Blocking is now complete — a blocked sender is hidden from:
- the channel conversation,
- the chat-list preview (no more last-message leak),
- the unread badge, and
- notifications.
Their messages are still stored, so unblocking brings them straight back.

MeshOS v1.0.7
AirLink ↔ LoRa Bridge
- Bridge your local Bluetooth AirLink mesh to the LoRa (MeshCore) network — messages now relay both ways automatically.
- Direct messages bridge across AirLink and LoRa too, not just channel chat.
- When your phone is acting as the bridge, your own messages go out on both transports.
- New "Bridged" indicators: actively-bridged channels show green icons in the chat list and a green badge in the conversation header.
- Each message now shows which network it travelled on (AirLink / LoRa tags), and on the MeshCore side you'll see the LoRa repeat count (✓ x1) as repeaters carry it.
- Store-and-forward now replays missed DMs as well as channel messages when you walk back into range.
MeshOS Unified Companion Firmware Support
- One firmware now runs BLE, Wi-Fi and USB companions — no more flashing a different variant for each connection type.
- Configure Wi-Fi companions right in the MeshOS app — pick the network and connect over Wi-Fi.
- Download the MeshCore unified firmware to your device from https://www.meshcore.co.uk/configurator
Fixes
- Fixed AirLink occasionally needing a manual off/on toggle to start after a fresh install.
- Fixed duplicate messages appearing when returning to AirLink range.
- Fixed old channel history showing after deleting a channel and re-adding one by QR.
- An AirLink channel and a LoRa channel sharing the same key now always appear as one chat.
Other
- Add a contact by QR code now works on macOS.
- "Start on boot" option for always-on nodes (Android).
- Settings tidy-up.
T-Deck / T-Pager owners: MeshOS firmware 1.3.7+ is AirLink-enabled, so those devices can act as an AirLink ↔ MeshCore bridge with this app.
